About Phil Young
Phil Young is an independent educator and consultant with over twenty years of experience developing and teaching customized educational and training programs in finance, marketing, and strategy for a number of major multinational corporations. He teaches in corporate programs sponsored by Duke Corporate Education and Thunderbird, School of Global Management. His past and present clients include:
He has taught in programs for these and other companies throughout the United States, Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina), Western and Central Europe and Scandinavia (U.K., Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Sweden), and the Asia-Pacific region (China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Taiwan). Prior to founding Nth Degree, LLC, Phil was a Professor of Economics and Finance at Pace University in New York, where he taught in the MBA program for 25 years. While at Pace he was appointed as the first visiting professor in IBM's International Finance, Planning and Administration School located in NY and Belgium. In addition, he was the Director of Corporate Education for Pace University. His responsibilities included the academic leadership of Pace's corporate education and Executive MBA programs. He has also taught in executive education programs sponsored by Columbia University, The University of California at Berkeley, and Cornell University. He is the co-author of a major economics textbook entitled Managerial Economics: Economic Tools for Today's Decision Makers, 4th edition, 2003, published by Prentice-Hall. The 5th edition is scheduled for publication in 2005. Along with a colleague, he has written an important book in economics for business managers entitled The Portable MBA in Economics, John Wiley & Sons, 1994. Phil received a B.A. from the University of Hawaii, a Master's degree in international relations from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in economics from New York University. |
